Brussels has no famous monuments.
Each country has a monument representing them. For example, you have the Eifel Tower in Paris for France, Big Ben in London for the UK and the colosseum in Rome for Italy. For Belgium, this would be the Atomium in Brussels, but it never became as well known as the other monuments. As a kind of substitute, we have Manneken Pis but it also does not have as much success as the Eifel Tower or Big Ben. This is entirely unjustified as they both monuments perfectly represent Belgians' quirky, subtle sense of humour. Brussels has many famous monuments besides the Atomium and Manneken Pis. We also have Jeanneke Pis, Smurf statue, Arcades du Cinquantenaire, Godefroid de Bouillon statue, the Royal Palace, Colonne de Congres and so much more.
