Reflection

A reflection on how I experienced this assignment and what I learnt about my culture cannot be missing. I did not always find the assignment easy. A lot of time went by against finding everything I want and can share about my culture. In addition, I also sometimes had to make choices in who or what I wanted to discuss because I just had too many choices. I had this with the heroes of Belgium, for example. Still, it was quite a challenge to find everything. I rediscovered my culture and I am now more aware of things that are peculiar to our culture yet have become so normal for me. You could say my eyes have been reopened. I also have to admit that there are things I might not have known. For example, there are some stereotypes about Belgium that I didn't know existed. I also found that interesting at times and I especially enjoyed proving them wrong. It was a fun assignment and challenge especially because I could let my creativity run wild.
